Originally known as Blue Birds Football Club, the team was renamed Moneni Pirates in 1967, inspired by the success and spirit of South African football giants Orlando Pirates. From humble beginnings in the streets and fields of Moneni, the club has grown into a symbol of community pride, resilience and sporting excellence.
